School Nurse

Hello My Name Is...

Teri Turner
  k

I graduated from Richmond Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, in Richmond, Va in 1977.  I have enjoyed working as an RN over the last 40 years.
The areas of employment since graduating with the RN Diploma degree, have included the following:  Medical College of Va (Pediatrics, and Orthopedics), followed by Public Health Nursing in Va Workers Compensation for the Commonwealth of Va State Employee Account (RN covering the State of Va for Injured Workers), followed by moving to GA January1994 and working at Dahlonega Hospital (Medical/Surgical), Sub Nurse with Dawson County School District, and most current job as a School Nurse at Kilough Elementary School starting 2010.  As a School Nurse a CPR certification is maintained every 2 years,  with regular classes online or on Professional Development Days, including all areas of medical care.  An RN is required to maintain a minimum of 30 CEU'S/classes, every 2 years to renew their RN License.

I enjoy working as the School Nurse at KES and plan to continue as long as possible.  The staff and students at KES are a 2nd family and each day brings much joy with many daily challenges.
