The vision of the Dawson County School Counseling and Guidance Program is to empower students for life long learning.

Philosophy

School Counselors are preparing students to meet the expectation of higher academic standards and to become productive and contributing members of society. Dawson County School Counseling and Guidance Program includes comprehensive and proactive plans. A comprehensive school counseling program includes a guidance curriculum, which is, shared responsibility of the administrators, counselors, teachers, parents and community members. It includes opportunities for individual, small group counseling and classroom guidance.

Mission Statement

The mission of Dawson County School Guidance and Counseling Program is to support students in life long learning by providing academic, personal/social and career planning in partnership with educators, parents, and community.
